Biographie

Matyas Bicsak Bad Schwalbach 2014Mátyás Bicsák hat mit dem Flötenspiel schon mit neun Jahren in der Musikschule seiner Heimatstadt Székesfehérvár (Ungarn), 60 Kilometer von Budapest entfernt, begonnen. Zwei Jahre später hat er den nationalen Wettbewerb für Holzblasinstrumente in der Sparte Flöte gewonnen. Er nahm noch insgesamt 3 Mal an nationalen Flötenwettbewerben teil, und erreichte jedes Mal eine Platzierung. Seine Erfolge bei den Wettbewerben bereiteten seinen Weg zum Béla Bartók-Gymnasium, später zu Professor Lóránt Kovács an die Franz Liszt-Musikakademie in Budapest vor, wo er 2005 sein künstlerisches und pädagogisches Diplom mit Auszeichnung erhielt. Zeitgleich hat er auch ein Diplomstudium in Informatik an der Eötvös Loránd Universität (Budapest)  abgeschlossen.

Seinen ersten internationalen Erfolg konnte er 2001 erzielen, als er den 9. Kuhlau-Wettbewerb in Uelzen gewann. 2003 erhielt er den Sonderpreis für den besten ungarischen Teilnehmer beim 38. Internationalen Musikwettbewerb in Budapest, eine Muramatsu Silberflöte.

Als Stipendiat des DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) absolvierte er sein Meisterklassendiplom in München bei András Adorján und war anschließend zwei Jahre Akademist der Berliner Philharmoniker bei Andreas Blau. Während der Jahre in München hat er einen Masterstudiengang in Informatik an der Fachhochschule München mit der Gesamtnote sehr gut abgeschlossen. 2008 und 2009 nahm er an der Sommerakademie in Santander (Spanien) teil, außerdem spielte er 2008 auch im Orchester der Moritzburg Festival Akademie.

Seit Januar 2010 ist er Solo-Flötist des Hessischen Staatsorchesters Wiesbaden. Seit 2019 hat er einen Lehrauftrag an der Musikhochschule in Mainz.

Mátyás Bicsák spielt auf einer 14 Karat all-gold Brannen-Cooper Flöte.

Biography

Matyas Bicsak Bad Schwalbach 2014Mátyás Bicsák started playing the flute at the age of 9 in the local music school of his home town Székesfehérvár (Hungary), 60 km west of Budapest. 2 years later he already won first prize of the flute category in the national woodwind competition. Over the following years he participated in 3 other national flute competitions, finishing among the prize winners on each occasion.

He attended Béla Bartók Music High School in Budapest, where he graduated in 2000 and passed the entrance exam of Franz Liszt Music Academy (for the class of Professor Lóránt Kovács) in the same year. 5 years later he graduated with a Diploma with Distinction. He also studied computer science simultaneously at Eötvös Loránd University and graduated with a Diploma.

In 2001 he won second prize at the Kuhlau International Flute Competition in Uelzen (no first prize was given in that competition); In 2003 he was awarded special prize for the best Hungarian candidate in the Budapest International Flute Competition – a handmade silver Muramatsu flute.

He continued his studies in Munich as a scholarship holder of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), his teacher here was András Adorján. During this period he also completed his studies in computer science at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, graduating with a Master’s Degree (M.Sc) in Computer Science with the overall classification „very good“.

He was member of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra between 2007 and 2009, his professor was Andreas Blau. In the course of the tours with the Berliner Philharmoniker he played in some of the world’s most renowned concert halls like Suntory Hall (Tokyo), Salle Pleyel (Paris), Tonhalle (Zurich), Musikverein (Vienna) under such famous conductors as Sir Simon Rattle, Zubin Metha, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Barenboim, Cristoph von Dohnányi and others. In 2008 and 2009 he took part in the Santander Summer Festival and played first flute in the festival’s orchestra. He was also participant of the Moritzburg Festival Academy (2008).

He has been the first principal flutist of the Hessian State Opera in Wiesbaden (Germany) since 2010.

Mátyás Bicsák plays a hand-made 14k Brannen-Cooper rose gold flute.

Matyas Bicsak Bad Schwalbach 2014Bicsák Mátyás 9 évesen kezdett fuvolázni a székesfehérvári Hermann László Zeneiskolában. 2 évvel később már első helyezést ért el a 3 évente megrendezésre kerülő országos fafúvós versenyen fuvola kategóriában. Később még 3 alkalommal vett részt országos fuvolaversenyen, minden alkalommal dobogós helyen végezve.

Középiskolai tanulmányait Budapesten, a Bartók Béla Zeneművészeti Szakközépiskola és Gimnáziumban végezte, ahol 2000-ben érettségizett, ugyanebben az évben felvételt nyert a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetemre Kovács Lóránt fuvolaművész osztályába. Itt 5 évvel később kitüntetéses fuvolaművészi, fuvolatanári diplomát szerzett. A zenei tanulmányokkal párhuzamosan elvégezte az ELTE Informatikai Karának programozó matematikus képzését is, esti tagozaton.

2001-ben, a uelzeni Nemzetközi Kuhlau Fuvolaversenyen 2. díjat kapott (első díjat a zsűri ezen a versenyen nem adott ki); 2003-ban a budapesti Nemzetközi Fuvolaversenyen a legjobb döntőig jutott magyar versenyző különdíjaként egy ezüst Muramatsu fuvolát nyert.

2005-től két éven át DAAD-ösztöndíjasként Münchenben tanult a Zeneművészeti Főiskolán Adorján András növendékeként, illetve ezzel egyidejűleg a Müncheni Műszaki Főiskolán, ahol jeles minősítéssel informatikusi M.Sc. diplomát szerzett.

2007-től 2009-ig a Berlini Filharmonikusok Zenekari Akadémiájának tagja, ahol Andreas Blau növendéke. 2008-ban és 2009-ben a Santanderi Nyári Zenei Találkozó résztvevője, 2008-ban szerepel a drezdai Moritzburg Festivalon.

2010-től a Wiesbadeni Állami Operaház első szólófuvolása. 2016 szeptemberében a Magyar Rádió Arcvonások című műsorában szerepelt.

Bicsák Mátyás egy 14 karátos Brannen-Cooper all-gold fuvolán játszik.
